Goodhue County Public Works staff are gearing up for a busy summer at Byllesby Park, which kicked off on May 6th with a groundbreaking ceremony for the new pavilion construction project.
This project includes moving an existing picnic shelter, constructing a 150-person pavilion with modern restrooms, another small separate restroom building, running electricity to all of the shelter buildings, and refurbishing the existing well to provide drinking water.
The park will be under construction from May through November. While the project is happening right in the center of the developed portion of the park, the contractor will work to keep the existing picnic shelters, beach, and playground open throughout the summer.
